Presented by the city of Scottsdale, Western Week celebrates  the city’s Old West roots. On Thursday, Jan. 30, as part of the event,  the Scottsdale Gallery Association (SGA), presents its Western  Week-themed Gold Palette ArtWalk.

The event runs from  6:30-9 p.m. throughout the Scottsdale Arts District, which stretches  along Main St. from Scottsdale Rd. to Goldwater Blvd. and north of  Indian School Rd. on Marshall Way to 5th Ave. Live country music from  Western Fusion will fill the air, encouraging dancing throughout the  district. There will be an emphasis on Western art, plus other fun  surprises during the event.

“Western Week brings a breadth  of energy and excitement to Old Town, including the Scottsdale Arts  District,” said SGA President Jinger Richardson. “We are thrilled to  welcome our Western-loving art enthusiasts during this event.”

While  the Western Week theme will be evident in activities and experiences  throughout the Scottsdale Arts District, it will also carry on in  participating SGA member galleries, which will be hosting exhibitions  and events of their own, including:

Bonner David Galleries

7040 E. Main St.

During  the ArtWalk, Bonner David Galleries will be exhibiting notable Western  artists Gary Ernest Smith, Dyana Hesson, Claudia Hartley and Tamara  Hastie.

Carstens Fine Art Studio & Gallery

7100 E. Main St., #B

In  support of those devastated by the California wildfires, Carstens Fine  Art presents a drawing for one of Cyndy Carstens’ pen and ink original  studies, “Rising Spirits”. This original pen and ink study, which is  mounted, matted and framed, will be raffled off to raise funds for World  Central Kitchen. This organization is on the ground providing  much-needed food, supplies and respite to the first responders and  supporting residents. Tickets are $10 each and now available through  Thursday, Jan. 30. At 8:30 p.m. that evening, during the ArtWalk, the  winner will be announced. All funds will go to the organization. Guests  can email c_car_wck@yahoo.com with questions related to this fundraiser.

Gebert Contemporary Art Gallery

7160 E. Main St.

During  the ArtWalk, Gebert Contemporary Art Gallery presents new work by  Arizona artist Cher Juracich. An American painter whose artistic journey  began in childhood, Juracich’s work celebrates sensory interplay and  delves into themes of the metaphysical, perceptual phenomena and sacred  rituals.

King Galleries

7077 E. Main St.

Home  to many examples of Southwest Native American fine art and clay pottery  works, both traditional and contemporary, King Galleries is pleased to  present the “Forces of Nature” exhibit during the Western Week ArtWalk.  “Forces of Nature” presents new works in clay by Stephanie Tafoya (Santa  Clara Pueblo) and Jeff Suina (Cochiti Pueblo).

The Legacy Gallery

On the Edge Gallery

7045 E. Main St.

During  the ArtWalk, On the Edge Gallery showcases the works of Julie Gilbert  and Lynn Thrower, both of whom will be onsite to meet and greet guests.  Julie Gilbert is a jewelry artist who works exclusively with Argentium  sterling silver as her metal medium, occasionally incorporating other  metals such as gold, titanium, copper and jewelers brass for accent or  embellishment. Lynn Thrower, who works with skulls and mixed media, says  her works are inspired by many things, including landscapes, sunsets,  stones, textiles, fashion and interior design.

Quan’tum Art

7077 E. Main St., #16

Art  enthusiasts and collectors are encouraged to connect a Western vibe to  the sought-after works of John Gleason, whose beautiful copper artworks  will complement any home collection and artfully adorn office walls. His  pieces are also ideal for gift-giving. Gleason will be at the gallery  during the ArtWalk to meet and laugh with guests.

The Signature Gallery
